MOJO WIGGLE RIG POINTERS
BY: Larry Glavinich Pres. & General Mgr. Mojo Lure Co., Inc.
The Mojo “Wiggle Rig” tremendously enhances the vertical presentation Method referred to as drop shotting. “But now for the first time ever,” you can cast the Wiggle Rig as you would a Carolina or Texas Rig, which allows you, “the angler,” the ability to give the plastic bait or lure tremendous action, “never before possible, until now!” The bait can be dragged and wiggled or paused, while the bait is seductively dancing and vibrating in a slightly suspended natural presentation, allowing the angler the ability to fish a lot of water thoroughly and successfully. Just dragging the Wiggle Rig along the bottom magnifies the bait movement over “ten times” that of any other popular rigging methods used today and adds 100% natural, seductive, and realistic action to any of your lifeless soft plastic baits in your box! The Mojo technique “WIGGLING,” can now be successfully accomplished in 6 inches of water or as deep as 100 feet! “It’s truly effective when fishing bedding Bass, driving big females into a positive and aggressive strike mode.” Mojo offers a complete selection of Drop Shot weights for your desired needs.
When fishing this New Mojo Wiggle Rigging method, use the TTI Company StandOut hooks for vertical Down Shot rigging presentations ONLY! Use any other bait hooks for all other presentations such as casting the rig as a Carolina or Texas Rig and retrieving. These hooks will permit free movement of all plastic baits allowing for a much more natural presentation, including a much better action to your baits! Using the smallest hooks for the preferred bait of choice will greatly enhance the action as well. Texas rigging the bait, (burring the hook point into the plastic bait) with the proper hooks when fishing in heavy cover will eliminate any snagging of the hook point into debris.
Double hook rigging with small plastic minnow baits, which match the hatch, effectively draws attention and strikes due to the natural swimming action of schooling bait!
Your plastic baits can also be fished with a new Wiggle Rig technique; Mojo calls “Slapping!” This new and unique fishing method allows the angler the ability to flip or pitch the supplied or heavier Mojo sinker with its protruding wire legs, onto thick grass mats without sinking through and anchoring and also permits a better hold on the edge of the shoreline. Now, you are able to vigorously slap the minnow bait or any bait on the surface of the water near weed lines and over open pockets, holding the bait in that concentrated area, such as when live bait thrashes on the surface splashing water, as when bass are actively feeding in a frenzy! The wiggle rig keys in on the Fish’s lateral lines, which are very sensitive, “allowing a completely natural vibration to your lures and baits that will attract and catch all species of fish!” Fresh water, salt water, live bait, dead bait, plastic bait and lures. Bass, Trout, Pan-fish, Cat-fish, Muskie, Walleye, Red-fish and all fish!
“No matter how you Fish-it the fish can’t Resist-it!”
