SINKER STOP TOOL KIT
The
Mojo Slip Shot Sinker Stop Tool has been modified
and upgraded to a heavier duty stainless steel wire,
which makes it very durable and gives the tool memory.
This allows it to conform to its original shaped
design after each usage. When sliding the sinker on
the line, other after market pegging systems fray
and damage the line. Mojo has heard this complaint
over and over from avid anglers whom have used the
"other guys" rubber pegs. Saying, "You
might as well crush the sinker or use a toothpick
to peg the sinker to the line. You would honestly
probably get better results.
But thanks to the innovative team at Mojo,
the Sinker Stop Tool kit was designed to do the job
dependably and professionally. After all, Mojo created
this system for its Slip Shot Sinker System also referred
to as the Mojo rigging method. Who would know better?
Designed to insert rubber strands into the
slip shot sinker, pegging the weight, not crimping
the weight on. This method also allows the sinker
to be moved up and down the line with resistance to
adjust leader length. No more damaging or retying
your leader line to the desired length, as you would
with a Carolina Rig. The Mojo Sinker Stop tool kit
(with individual strands of rubber) cause no fraying
or damage to your line, simply because of its design
for use.
When you install 2 individual strips of pegging
rubber into the tool and pull them through the weight
bore, you are now actually doubling that number to
four. The rubber strands wrap themselves around your
fishing line and allow even pressure and complete
cushioning of your line from abrasion of the weight,
while sliding the weight on your line. Other pegging
methods available include single rubber round stock
pegs that you stick into the sinker bore to peg or
anchor the sinker to your line. This may be simple
and convenient; however, these single strand rubber
cores permit all of the pressure to be exerted to
only one side of the fishing line with absolutely
no protection or cushioning effect, causing the line
to be forced and crushed against the weight bore.
The tool can also be used to peg a 8mm bead
to the line as a sinker stop, thus eliminating the
use of a swivel and pre-tied leader line. The bead
can now be adjusted to give you preferred leader length
without a hassle. You can use two glass beads with
this method for more clattering noise and pegging
one of them. If you go to adjust the bead and it won’t
move, simply wet the bead and line with lubricant
from your mouth and now it will slide. WaaLa!
The Mojo tool can also be used to thread line
through hook eyes. It works especially well on braided
lines such as fire line and spider wire. These spectra
lines tend to fray at the end and make it nearly impossible
at times to insert your line through the hook eyelet.
Each kit comes with 3 pieces of new larger diameter
rubber, each piece supplies 22 individual strands
of rubber, and new improved tool along with rigging
instructions. Now 2 individual strands of rubber will
peg any weight in place making it simpler than ever,
where before it took 4 to 5 strands.
